The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has published a new report identifying four key areas where accountants must update their knowledge to meet the increasing demand for high-quality sustainability-related information.

Titled “Equipping Professional Accountants for Sustainability: What’s New and What Hasn’t Changed,” the report emphasises the critical role of accountants in producing reliable sustainability data, reporting, and assurance, and highlights the importance of education and training to ensure professional accountants can meet societal needs.
